After vowing to never settle, Trump will pay $2 million to settle case against his fake charity

Liberal News

After vowing to never settle the case, Donald Trump has now settled a case brought by the New York attorney general’s office against the Trump Foundation, the fake charity run by himself and his three most grifting offspring. The judge ordered Trump to pay $2 million to a group of legitimate nonprofits as part of a settlement of a civil suit charging Trump, Uday, Qusay, and Cruella Jr. with violating campaign finance laws. The settlement amount represents more than one-half of the $2.8 million the attorney general was seeking.

Because this was a civil case, there was never a chance that the Trump clan’s flagrant disregard for charity laws would result in prison time, which is a damn shame and a good chunk of the reason that our nation’s rich grifting failsons continue to violate such laws with abandon, leaving it to their lawyers and checkbooks to clean up the mess. But the “Trump Foundation” is, at least, no more. It joins the long list of Trump failures, from casinos to mail-order steaks to whatever the hell Donald Trump Jr. turned out to be.
