BREAKING: Grassley Criminally Refers ANOTHER Kavanaugh Accuser to DOJ – Woman ADMITS Rape Accusation Was a “Ploy”
Senator Chuck Grassley
On Friday, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley criminally referred another Kavanaugh accuser to the Justice Department for investigation.
Senator Grassley sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions regarding “fabricated allegations” the Senate Judiciary Committee received.
Brett Kavanaugh was previously questioned by the Senate Judiciary Committee after an anonymous letter signed ‘Jane Doe’ alleged he and a friend raped an Oceanside, CA woman in a car.
The hand-written letter was sent to Democrat Senator Kamala Harris.
Kavanaugh denied the allegations and told interviewers the whole thing is “ridiculous.”
The accuser, Ms. Judy Munro-Leighton, now admits it was a “ploy” and she just wanted to “get attention.”
Via the Senate Judiciary Committee:
Under questioning by Committee investigators, Ms. Munro-Leighton admitted, contrary to her prior claims, that she had not been sexually assaulted by Judge Kavanaugh and was not the author of the original “Jane Doe” letter.
Ms. Munro-Leighton confessed to Committee investigators that (1) she “just wanted to get attention”; (2) “it was a tactic”; and (3) “that was just a ploy.” Potential violations of federal law include 18 U.S.C. §§ 1001 (materially false statements) and 1505 (obstruction)
Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley had this to say about Ms. Judy Munro-Leighton:
“Committee investigations in support of the judicial nomination process are an essential part of the Committee’s constitutional role.”
“The Committee is grateful to citizens who come forward with relevant information in good faith, even if they are not one hundred percent sure about what they know.”
“But when individuals intentionally mislead the Committee, they divert Committee resources during time-sensitive investigations and materially impede our work. Such acts are not only unfair; they are potentially illegal,” Grassley said.
“It is illegal to make materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements to Congressional investigators. It is illegal to obstruct Committee investigations,” Senator Grassley added.
Senator Grassley is on a roll.
The Senate Judiciary Chairman recently referred creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti and his client Julie Swetnick to the DOJ for a criminal investigation for false statements and deliberate obstruction of a congressional investigation (violations of 18 U.S.C. §§ 371, 1001 and 1505).
Grassley then hit Avenatti with a second criminal referral regarding another declaration he submitted to the Committee related to the second, anonymous Kavanaugh accuser he brought forth with allegations of gang rape.
