Well, we have ourselves a title race. A dogged effort by a City side perhaps not at their imperious best was enough to earn the resuklt and move level on points with Liverpool, though, crucially, ahead on goal difference.

City, who trailed Liverpool by seven points at Christmas, are top of the Premier League table once more on goal difference, albeit with one more match played. A fair result for the defending champions despite a resolute showing from the hosts, who never really conjured the attacking spark that might have made things interesting.
