Josh Gordon suspended indefinitely by NFL for violation of drugs policy
- Wideout had earlier say he was taking a leave of absence
- Gordon has missed most of past four seasons through bans
New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for a violation of the league’s drugs policy. The news came hours after Gordon himself had said he is “stepping away from the football field” to focus on his mental health.
“Effective today, Josh Gordon has been returned to the Reserve/Commissioner Suspended list indefinitely for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement under the Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse,” the league said in a statement.
