Quit raining on the stable genius of Donald Trump's fact-free alt-universe
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is turning into a real stick-in-the-mud these days with all that annoying finger-wagging. First he floated that non-binding resolution panning Donald Trump’s spontaneous decision to pull troops from Syria and Afghanistan. Then came his grim assessment of shutdowns.
“I don’t like shutdowns,” McConnell told reporters Wednesday. “I don’t think they work for anybody.” What a scold.
Then there are the nags Trump installed as his intelligence chiefs, with their annual “Worldwide Threat Assessment.” What a downer. Who cares if Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats says America’s two biggest geo-political rivals, Russia and China, are “more aligned than at any point since the mid-1950s”? Trump’s got this.
